Your athletes train their bodies every day. Ready State builds uniquely curated coaching programs — for teams and individual athletes — around what drives performance underneath the physical: the mind, the nervous system, the energy they carry onto the ice, floor, or field.
Every team invests in ice time, strength training, and skill development. Almost none invest in the part of the athlete that determines whether all of that shows up when it counts.
Most programs quietly hand the mental and emotional side of the game to moms and dads in the car ride home — with no training, no tools, and no time to do it well.
More often, it isn't handed off to anyone. It's assumed athletes will figure out pressure, nerves, and confidence on their own — the same way they're expected to just "toughen up."
That's the gap Ready State fills. Not a replacement for coaching, and not another job for parents — a dedicated, trained system for the one part of the athlete every other program leaves to chance.
Young athletes feel enormous pressure — to perform, to belong, to be "on" even when everything inside feels off. Most have no tools for it. They white-knuckle through hard moments, shrink under pressure, or quietly lose the joy that brought them to the sport in the first place. Ready State works at three levels — mind, body, and energy — to build athletes who are as strong on the inside as they are on the ice, floor, or field.
Inner Performance Coaching for All Sports · Ages 8-15+. These foundations shape every team workshop we build — curated and timed to where your athletes are, not a generic pep talk, but a targeted conversation designed for the moment it lives in.
For athletes who want to go deeper. A limited, private coaching relationship built entirely around one athlete — tailored to their unique goals, blocks, and season — booked flexibly at whatever moments matter most: before a big game, through a slump, heading into tryouts.
The stories athletes tell themselves shape everything. Sessions surface those patterns through journaling, reflection, and honest conversation — and replace them with something stronger.
Performance lives in the body. Using somatic awareness, breathwork, and nervous system tools, athletes move out of fight-or-flight and into the grounded, focused state where they play their best.
Athletes learn to work with their energy — not just manage it. Through visualization, meditation, and energetic tools, they develop the ability to show up regulated and ready.
Every private coaching relationship is built around the individual athlete — session count, focus, and timing are shaped entirely around their unique goals, not a fixed package. Booked when they need it most.
Every athlete in a Ready State program receives their own workbook — a print, hands-on introduction to the work we do together. It's built to be marked up, filled in, and carried into practice, not read once and shelved.
Built around the Ready State Crew — Story, Pulse, Volt, and Blaze — this version turns the four pillars into characters younger athletes can actually picture and relate to on game day.
The same four pillars — Mindset, Body, Energy, Spirit — built out for older athletes ready for more direct language and deeper reflection work.
The workbook is an introduction to the work we do together — designed to get your athlete working through the concepts in real time, and thinking about how to apply them to their current practice, their sport, and their day-to-day.
Sit down together and work through it page by page — a natural way to open conversations about pressure, focus, and confidence.
Independent, self-paced reflection for athletes who'd rather process it in their own time and their own words.
Worked through live in team workshops or 1:1 sessions with a Ready State coach, in real time.
When athletes develop their internal system, it shows up everywhere — on the ice, floor, or field, at home, and in who they're becoming.
Founders of Ready State — one seat, two perspectives, built for every athlete who walks through the door.
Katherine is an Intuitive Leadership Coach and creator of the Mind Body Spirit Method — a whole-system approach that blends mindset, somatic practice, physical wellness, and energy work to help people optimize from the inside out. She has worked with hundreds of people using this method — including athletes, entrepreneurs and business owners, and people navigating major life transitions or high-stakes situations.
A former competitive singer, Katherine knows what it means to perform under pressure — to step into a high-stakes moment and find steadiness inside the nerves. She's also a sports mom — her sons compete in high-level hockey and box lacrosse — and she built Ready State because she saw the gap: athletes trained to exhaustion physically, but left to figure out the mental and energetic side entirely on their own.
Jake played AAA hockey growing up, with soccer and baseball in the mix before he committed fully to hockey and went on to play Junior B. He knows the grind from the inside — tryouts every season, the years of being evaluated, the injuries that took him off the ice and the slower work of getting his head right again after. He knows what it's like when the pressure isn't just about the game — when what's happening at home follows you into the locker room, and what's happening on the ice follows you back out.
He trained as a Life Coach through On The Presence. His focus now is youth athletes specifically — not just performance, but the things that shape performance: how they talk to themselves, how they handle setbacks, whether they feel like they have someone in their corner who isn't evaluating them. He co-founded Ready State because he believes athletes deserve support for that side of the game too — not just their skills, but who they're becoming while they build them.
The world doesn't need more hype. Athletes need real tools and someone who can see what's actually going on underneath.
Katherine competed as a singer on high-pressure stages. Jake competed at AAA and Junior B hockey. Both coaches know pressure from the inside — not from a textbook — and that's the credibility they bring to every session.
Both coaches are trained to pick up on what's happening below the surface — the blocks, the patterns, the weight an athlete carries that they can't always put into words.
Mindset alone isn't enough. Ready State works with all three layers — mind, body, and energy — so athletes don't just think differently. They feel different, move differently, and show up differently.
Katherine and Jake are both sports parents — their kids play high-level hockey and box lacrosse. They're in the arenas, living the athlete-parent experience from the inside.
This program only works because of the adults in the room. These notes are for you.
We all want to be the one our kid turns to. The one who has the right words after a hard game, who knows exactly what to say before a big tryout. And we try — because we love them that much.
But here's the truth most sport parents know and don't say out loud: sometimes they can't hear it from us. Not because we're wrong — because we're their parents. The words land differently. The encouragement sounds like expectation.
This program gives your athlete a space outside the family dynamic — a trusted adult who has no stake in their stats, no emotional history with the team, and no agenda except helping them grow. You get to put down the coaching hat and just be their biggest fan.
You've seen it — the athlete with all the skill who falls apart under pressure. The kid who checks out mid-season, not because they stopped caring, but because something got heavy and they had nowhere to put it.
This program isn't a replacement for your coaching — it's the layer underneath it that makes your coaching land better. When your athletes know how to regulate their nerves, reset between periods, and show up with real confidence, they become more coachable, more resilient, and more present.
The teams that invest in their ready state don't just play better — they stick together better and finish the season as a genuinely different group than they started.
